He won from Manthani in 1999, 2004, 2009, 2018 and 2023. He is one of the senior forerunners in the Telangana Congress and an AICC secretary.


Thummala Nageshwara Rao (Khammam area)

Initially a Telugu Desam Party pioneer, he won for the TDP from Sathupalli in 1985, 1994 and 1999. In 2009, he won from Khammam. After losing in 2014, he joined the BRS, becoming a member of the Legislative Council and serving as the minister for roads and buildings in K Chandrashekar Rao's Cabinet.

He was the vice president pastor of unified Andhra Pradesh from 2011 till the state bifurcation in 2014. He was the minister for higher education and agriculture. He was an Andhole MLA three times.
