Prior to the Galwan clashes in June 2020, in which 20 Indian soldiers were killed, the two leaders met up to 18 times. However, they have only spoken twice since then, on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Indonesia in 2022 and the BRICS summit in South Africa in 2023.

It has been an exceptionally understanding cycle, however more confounded than how it ought to have been... The truth of the matter is on the off chance that we are capable, as we currently have, to arrive at a comprehension in regards to watching, noticing the sacredness of the LAC.

What it does is, it makes a premise that harmony and serenity which ought to be on the boundary regions, which were there before 2020. and it is hoped that we will be able to return to that tranquility. That was our main pressing issue. We've always said, "How can other areas of bilateral ties improve if you disturb peace and tranquility?"
