This year's Republic Day Parade, which will be held against the backdrop of a historical milestone, will feature special moments, including  French President Emmanuel Macron's participation as the guest of honor. The day begins with  Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting the National War Memorial and paying solemn and heartfelt condolences to the fallen heroes. Prime Minister Modi, along with other dignitaries, will head to the Kartaviya Road saluting platform to witness a grand parade that embodies the spirit of India's diverse and vibrant heritage. President Drupadi Murmu and President Emmanuel Macron are accompanied by the famous presidential bodyguard 'Rashtrapati ke Angrakshak'. The Presidential Bodyguard is the highest ranking regiment of the Indian Army. This Republic Day is particularly significant for the Regiment as it celebrates 250 years of dedicated service since its inception in 1773. The two presidents will make a grand appearance riding a ``traditional buggy'' to revive the custom for the first time in  40 years.
