IPL 2024 to stay in India, assures IPL chairman Arun Dhumal

HIGHLIGHT: IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal  assured that IPL 2024 will not be moved from India. The dates of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections coincided with the dates of the IPL, leading to speculation that some parts of the IPL might be held outside India.

However, BCCI will host the entire tournament in India. However, the Indian board is waiting for the voting date to confirm the 2024 IPL schedule.

"We will continue to work with the Indian government and authorities to ensure that the League is held in India." "We are waiting for the  general election dates to be announced and  will plan accordingly. For example, which Will leagues be held in the state etc.'We don't know which matches will be hosted during elections,'' 

Arun Dhumal told IANS. IPL 2024 is scheduled to begin on March 22, but Arun Dhumal refused to announce the start date. "It will probably start at the end of March... and then there will be a general election in April, so we will figure it out with the help of the government," Doumal added.
