Ahead of the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Modi donated water to virtual representations of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers on the temple premises. After this ritual, he took part in  the initiation ritual at his BAPS temple.

PM Modi also offered prayers during the inauguration of BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi. Earlier today, the inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi was held ahead of the inauguration ceremony by Prime Minister Modi.

The introduction of advanced technology, including 300 sensors, has elevated this temple to the status of a scientific wonder. A testament to the dedication and contributions of the community,  the estimated cost of this magnificent structure is Dh400 million. 

The BAPS Hindu Temple stands as a testament to the architectural brilliance and cultural importance of the region's heartland, being the region's first stone Hindu temple and proudly considered to be the largest in Western Asia. 

This majestic structure in the Abu Mureika area embodies the spirit of cultural peace and cooperation and is a testament to the enduring friendship between India and the UAE. Prime Minister Modi arrived in the UAE on Tuesday for a two-day visit and spoke about the BAPS temple at an 'Aaran Modi' diaspora event  yesterday. He expressed his gratitude to UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for approving the BAPS Hindu Temple, which reflects his love and respect for India and expressed his gratitude for his love and support. 

Without it, it would not have been possible. The Prime Minister's visit to the United Arab Emirates is also his third visit to the Gulf country in the past eight months.
